Leitchville still kicking goals
IT WAS vocation as usual for the Leitchville/Gunbower netball and football players, despite news that Murray Goulburn had shut its Leitchville cheese plant.
Club president Steven Hore said locals were still looking forward to playing in the new Heathcote and District League.

"It's just happened, people need to prevail upon their heads around it," he uttered. "There's no direct ramifications yet."
Mr Hore said in that place were many juniors at the sodality whose parents worked at the factory and a number of players who were employed at the plant.
Leitchville/Gunbower Football Netball Club relies on the sponsorship business in both towns as well as Cohuna.
"If people move away from the region and less money is spent, this could put pressure on wholly local groups, not righteous football and netball," Mr Hore said.
